Electoral Districts

Electoral Districts define which elected officials represent us in various levels of government. Our 9 towns are represented by the same NY State Senator and U.S. Representative. In the case of the NY State Assembly, we span 2 of 150 Assembly Districts, and for Dutchess County Legislature, we span 6 of 25 Dutchess County Districts. Explore the tabs below to understand the various Electoral Districts for each elected office, and who currently represents those districts.

Dutchess County is divided into 25 Legislative Districts.  Northern Dutchess Dems’ 9 towns are part of 6 of those Districts:

District 2 (Emma Arnoff – D) – a piece of Pleasant Valley (and pieces of La Grange & Poughkeepsie).

District 7 (Lew Darrow – R) – a piece of Pleasant Valley (and a piece of Hyde Park).

District 11 (Brennan Kearney – D) – Clinton, a piece of Pleasant Valley (and the lower half of Rhinebeck).

District 19 (Chris Drago – D) – Milan, North East & Millerton, Pine Plains, Stanford (and a small piece of Red Hook).

District 24 (Andrew J. House – R) – Dover (and a piece of Pawling).

District 25 (Eric Alexander – D) – Amenia, Washington & Millbrook and a piece of Pleasant Valley.

(* yes, Pleasant Valley is covered by 4 different districts!)
